Did this truck bed come on the 1963 Ford from the factory or is this something someone added from another truck?
Hello, This pickup was in our gas station when we purchased it and we have
been told that this particular bed was NOT the original (from factory) to this
truck. We can't seem to find much to support or discredit the claim. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Angie

This is what a 63 should look like....your bed looks wrong....
Someone listed this pick up as a "1963 Styleside Short Bed". The photo you shared is called a "Flareside".
I found this one also and it is listed as a 1963 Ford F-100.

It probably is an original bed, 61-63 had some issues with the unibody design and in a panick Ford thrrew together some 2 piece body's and the moldings did not line up.
That is the correct bed. Mid year of 63 Ford got away from the unibody trucks. To prevent retooling mid year they put that style bed on and finished out 63. In 64 they retooled and made the bed match the cab.
Do you still have this truck? If so would you want to sell it?
will a 1984 ford f-150 short bed fit on a 1971 f-100?

I have a 1963 F100 just like this and I’m finding many places where things don’t line up, also no “FoMoCo” stamps. I’m thinking it’s some sort of aftermarket service bed like the body ones you see on service trucks today. I’ve seen plenty of styleside non-unibody beds (‘61-‘63), so I don’t believe it was an effort to slap a bandaid on the unibody issue. The photo attached is a (I believe) ‘62 F100.

Actually; a friend of mine has one 62 wrong bed Ford Pickup. N Line with three on the tree. It runs and drives, though in serious need of tires. That puke color of green....everyone loves...back window cracked...little to no rust. What is it worth?
