Did Ford Make a 1973 Camper/Trailer Special F-100?
I Bought a 1973 Ford F-100.Somebody hit and run the drivers door so i got a good deal. On the right front qp there is an emblem that says Camper Special. On the left side front quarter panel it says F-100 Trailer Special. The question is did FMC make a Trailer/Camper Special and if so how many where produced?? Would this not be a very rare Truck?

not so rare- bigger springs in the back to hold a camper shell- but people seem to like them
Thanks I have already looked at those websites. Was wondering what the best way to look up the VIN and see what exactly came on my truck. I have the VIN is there a site i can do this at?

Having both the camper special and trailer special would be quite rare but your best bet to find out EXACTLY how your truck came from the factory with like options, colors, production numbers, etc,. basically EVERYTHING about your truck that you want to know is to get a Marti-Report from Marti Auto at http://www.martiauto.com/reports2.cfm. The minimum report is $25 and it goes up from there but he is licensed by FMC and his info is 100% accurate. Most FMC collector car owners will have this report done. Check it out.
