How do you a just the air/fuel mixture in a 82 f100 with a 3.8 motor also what causes rough ideal and stalling

I can't find a good picture of the carburetor, but should be a Motorcraft unless somebody changed it. There is a slotted screw on the drivers side the if you use a small flat screwdriver, turn it clockwise all the way until it is closed then back it off counter-clockwise 1 ½ turns should be close. Then if it blows black smoke it it rich, turn it ¼ clockwise
