i have a 2002 escape my door chime does not work.

When you open the doors or start the car the chime
does not sound.why?

The chime sounds if you turn the engine off and open the doors with - A the keys left in or - B you've left the lights on. If you are doing that then the chime isn't working.

Not helpful, I want to know if there is a fuse I could pull out to shut off the chiming sound when my doors open.
