This would not be a recall but there might be a service bulletin. 14 year old cars don't have any sort of warranty.

A new engine perhaps or maybe just fixing the chain and bent valves.

14 year old cars are usually not worth a new engine, maybe a used engine.

I vote to sell it as is rather than try to find a good used engine or pay big dollars for a rebuilt engine.
