94 corola 1.8l over heats and now no heat. Replaced thermostat and let idle with cap off to remove air in system . It has a new radiator, Should I back flush the heater core & the whole system?

I have a 94 Colola 1.8l over heats. i replaced the radiator & hoses. then I replaced the thermostat and ran the motor with the radiator cap off to get rid of any air in the system. Should I back flush the heater core & the whole system? The water pump seems to be working fine.I allso put on a new serp. belt. Any sujestions?
