When I'm driving and I come to a stop the car just dies on me and sometimes starts back up and sometimes doesn't. I just bought a new battery and it still does it. I'm thinking its the fuel pump.

I think the problem might your fuel pressure regulator. When the computer gets the signal from the gas pedal via the computer several things happen. Computer sends the requested demand to the fuel system and timing and the fuel pressure regulator open more to supply the fuel needed to accelerate. If the fuel pressure regulator doesn't respond enough or at all it can shut the fuel off completely and then the engine dies. I would check out the fuel pressure regulator first before spending money on the fuel pump. Often times the simple things are what causes major problems.
