Removal Step 1 Turn off all lights and electrical components in the vehicle. Step 2 Push the front edge of the rear seat cushion toward the rear of the car. Lift the front edge of the seat to disengage it from its supports. Step 3 Disconnect the seat heater connectors from the seat, if applicable. Pull up and out on the rear seat cushion and lift it out of the car. Step 4 Remove the battery's negative cable bolt with a wrench. Pull the battery's negative cable off of the battery. Remove the battery's positive cable bolt with a wrench. Pull the positive cable off of the battery. Position the cables so they do not touch the battery. Step 5 Pull the battery's vent tube up and off of the battery. Pull the tube out of the hole in the body. Step 6 Remove the battery's retainer bolt and retainer from the battery with a wrench. Lift the battery out of its recess.

On my 2002, I push the bottom of the front of the rear seat `down! and back and then up at the same time and it releases itself. I believe it is a hook and latch. You have to push the latch down under the hook then back and up to release the seat. Now getting the seat to latch back is actually harder, same procedure just in reverse
Change the battery in my 2003 Cadillac CTS now it won't start code reader shows brake safety and fuel lock code what why won't it start 6
