Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Wont jump start and there's no clicking sound. The engine is trying to turn over but
doesn"t and gas gauge is going wacko when i try to start it. Battery? I thought maybe the
battery but my husband said if it were the battery that it would have jump started? any
ideas?

I believe it could be your starter. Make sure if you replace the starter that the battery is charged enough to turn the new starter. One last suggestion make sure the battery is pretty charged when jump starting it. You can try to hit the starter with a wood block or something as you try cranking the engine but that is only a temp fix to get you home. Some starters sale kits to rebuild if you are mechanically enclined. Good luck
