Question type: General

Is it bad that I took the thermostat out on a 98
eldorado? It keeps running hot. Replaced water
pump and radiator. I heard taking thermostat out it
will help it from running hot so that's what I did.
Then it started steaming and leaking

Sounds like you may have a bad head gasket... Taking out the thermostat did work on older cars in cooler climates
