2002 ford ranger 2.3 litre 4 cyl.

Spark from coil to plugs, inertia switch not tripped, no combustion with ether sprayed into throttle body... no sound from fuel pump when keyed on, but shouldn't the ether fire anyway? any ideas?

Either evaperates pretty quick. So you would have to be spraying it while you turn it over. Check the fuel pump relay and fuse. If all checks out. Check to see if fuel pump has power going to it. If theres power going to the fuel pump and its not coming on. Replace the pump. It will only have power for a few seconds when the seitch is tured on so get someone to help you.
