Cigarette lighter outlet

My Taurus has two power outlets and they are hard to get to. First I would check the fuse, then check the cigarette element itself. Be sure to disconnect the battery if you try to replace that unit. I think the two pieces twist together like a light bulb.

I agree with Hornet. Just to add, Some of the national brand auto stores sell aux power outlets. You wire it up yourself and mount where you want. Hopefully the cigar lighter will work with that power outlet. I guess it's up to you, how you want fix?
