theft light on wont start 2002

Been looking all over for this info. Lots of owners having same issues with these cars. Some turn out to be dead battery issues. How is your cars battery? Some say to leave key in run position for atleast 30 sec then cycle it and it should start. Here's where I got some of the info. http://repairpal.com/theft-light-flashing-802
