i replaced alternator on 96 astina now have no charge lights

The alternator charging light is suppose to go of if working properly.

If you have a digital multi meter, you can check at the battery when it is running to see if you have 14.5 DCV to verify that the alternator is charging.
and if it is charging any idea what else it could be?thanks
What is no reds on starting? Not familiar with this terminology.
