I have a 2002 tbird that the starter works but it just won't start. Like something has locked it .I haven't ran it for 7 months and now that I am back and want to use it the darn thing won't start.

Have someone hold the key to the ON position and rap on the starter with a hammer. Sounds like it's stuck and not engaging the fly wheel.
