Sorry, but it won't be that easy to pass the test with an old car- you will have to have it repaired or get a new car- that's what the law is for- take comfort that it costs a lot more to own a car in Europe- you could always move out to the wide open spaces of the West- we're just happily cruisin' around in our old cars out here- pollutin' the planet-
