Why does my 2006 300 Touring rev up then down at steady speed?

Asked by ravensdr69 Nov 02, 2012 at 11:45 AM about the 2006 Chrysler 300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving at a steady speed, I notice the car revs up a bit then down.  I can accelerate no problem but when it goes along at a steady speed, some times it will porpoise up and down.  Why does it do this and how can it be fixed?

Also check fuel injectors, you might want to get a strong fuel system cleaner. Chrysler dealerships use BG products. BG 44K Fuel system cleaner and power enhancer this works really good. It also increases octane levels in the gas. I have used it a few times and have noticed better throttle response and bit more power, also increases fuel economy.
