Yellow Oil light on intermittently..

Hi I have a 2008 BMW 320i with 71,000kms. When i start up the motor the yellow oil light comes on for a brief few seconds, then dissapears after driving 15kms it comes back. The car has been serviced 7 weeks ago....should i be worrying??

YES ......... if the low oil lamp is one it is either a faulty switch or you have a low to inadequate oil level and or pressure. Best to have towed to a shop and a mechanical oil pressure gauge put on it to check the actual specs. I have also heard of the cartridge style oil filters being overlooked and no being replaced every oil change and have seen one actually disintegrate. and plug up all oil ports
