Update on 2008 X3 in 2011 - has it held up well?

Asked by Halohead Jan 12, 2011 at 08:19 PM about the 2008 BMW X3

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

On arrival this car got some bad reviews for the transmission, suspension, and
general reliability. Anyone who has driven one for awhile: are you happy with it
now? I'm thinking of purchasing one and would like an update on those early
reviews.

Thanks--this is encouraging. I've now moved on to the 2009 or 2010--don't like some of the 2011 changes, like the standard RTF and the much reduced cargo space, so don't think I'll go there. But I'm glad to hear that the X3 is trustworthy!
