Check engine & lighting bolt light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2005 chrysler 300 v6 2.7 both my check
engine and throttle body light was on and I have
changed the throttle body and both lights are still
on since I replace the throttle body now my car will
crank up on it's own but the lights are still on. I did
the key trick and a code of 2181 appears in the
dash can someone tell me what I need to do this is
my only transportation to get to and from work.

the code is caused by your engine failing to reach a 'warm' temperature within a certain amount of time (~5 minutes). its usually caused by a bad thermostat.
Thanks for responding back. What about my other problem? Could that cause it also?
Don’t know what to tell you. I’m having the same problem. Changed out the egr valve and throttle body. The lights are still staying on. I’m lost....
The thermostat needs to be replaced it happened 2 xs in 2 years to my SRT
What if I put in a brand new 180 thermostat instead of the stock 210 and it still stays on
I had the same issue with my Dodge Caravan 2008, ON the fuse box check for fuse that's for ABS/FUEL PUMP for me it was M37 just remove and put it back after that the throttle body reset. Put the switch to ON let the dash lights come on and go off only the ENGINE checklight stays then press the gas pedal as much as you can and release slowly, when you r done remove feet from gas pedal remove ignition switch, and restart the car. This trick worked for me.
Having same issue but mine goes on n off
