new replacement top won't go down

2005 crossfire...had a new top put on..now it will not go down...it worked before I took it in...there is a cord dangling along the inside of the track( one end connected the other isn't).. on.right side the cord is connected and very tight..could this be the problem and how to fix it...thanks  very frustrated and angry when you drop the money and it doesn't work  and the business thinks it never worked before I brought it in..  geezzz

Sounds to me as if they did not connect the roof open switch or the Detent Cable. Try to follow the cord to both ends. and see if you can locate where it should connect.
