The radio/CD volume in my 2009 Toyota Camry goes up and down to extremes by itself. Sometimes the radio volume knob does not work.

There is a setting on the deck, a button, I forget what it is called, but set in that mode the volume will increase as you go faster, and decrease when slowing down to a stop.
Cross...did you ever fix the problem with your audio system?

No, it has not been fixed. One person suggested it was the automatic volume control that kicks in when there is extreme noise or higher/lower speeds, but that’s not the problem. Sometimes the volume knob does not work at all, and I can only control the volume using the buttons on the steering wheel.
Let's check the Owner's Manual to make sure we are not missing something about the Radio/CD operation.
make sure the knob on your volume control is not stripped
