The trunk lid on my 1965 Pontiac Catalina is stuck closed. The key turns and the lock seems to disengage, but the latch does not release the trunk lid. Any ideas are welcome. Trying not to resort to a crowbar!

Remove the back seat and crawl into the trunk from inside the car and you should be able to turn the latch from the inside of the trunk with a flat head screw driver or a small channel lock pliers.

turn the key & punch it with the bottom of your fist somewhere it won't dent too easy.
