No power?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I pulled into the parking lot at work, and everything
was fine. I turned the car off and went in side. I
came back out to unlock my car and grab my cup.
And my car wouldn't unlock with the buttons on my
key ring. So I unlock the car with the actual key.
And usually when I open the drivers side door. The
numbers on my odometer pop up, and it didn't.
Well I grabbed my cup and pushed the button on
my door to lock up the car. And nothing happened.
So I tried starting it and nothing happened. No
turning over. No lights. Nothing. What could cause
this.

Bad battery or bad connection of cables to battery is a good starting point.

so are you still at work?? or did you get the car jumped and started?? anyway first thing to do is charge battery and then load test it..if ok service all battery cables...if not replace battery and service cables. have it VATED... > checks battery load, starter load, starter draw, alt volt and amps...easy to do and a free service ..

Yes I'm still at work. Someone gave me a jump, car started just fine and ran for. A few min with the jumper cables on and when we took the cables off it still ran. But when we turned car off then tried to restart it, no power, no turning over. Nothing.

Batteries are made up of multiple cells and if one goes bad it can prevent the battery from working. Check your battery or replace it if you go to a auto parts store they can check it out for free.
