'09 Pontiac Vibe repair issues?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 09 Pontiac Vibe with over 185,000 miles on it. I've maintained it
well and had very little problems with it. Of course, when I paid it off, now
I'm having a TON of issues. My ABS is out, I'm having battery problems
and now that the battery has gone completely dead, it's idling around 400
RPMs and dying on me routinely. I love this little car. It's been so good but
it's really raggeldy now and I cannot afford all the fixes. Over $1000 to fix
the ABS alone?? Any ideas for me?

I wish I could remember offhand the reason behind the $1K estimate on the ABS. I have a BUNCH of lights on the dash for the ABS and traction issues. When it's wet, caution when braking IS a must!! I have had no tune ups, no. It dies every time I stop at a light or stop sign. The idle drops to 400 RPM. If I put it into Neutral or Park, it'll go back up to close to 1000 RPMs. It so far always restarts. The battery will be replaced tomorrow. I just need to get the rest of it running right again. I love this car! My husband calls it my skateboard.
