Heated seat not working

Asked by kyrazahron Dec 13, 2016 at 08:29 PM about the 2000 Chrysler 300M

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought my car used in the summer and they told
me both drivers and passengers side heated seats
work but I didn't think to test them out. It's winter
now and we have 2 feet of snow outside and I went
to put my drivers heated seat on and it won't turn
on. The light doesn't even come on. The
passenger's heated seat works. The light comes on
but not the drivers. Doesnt do me any good. What
could it be? A fuse? Moderator? I only weigh 98
pounds and I don't do well in the cold. Especially
leather seats. So I really want to get this fixed. How
much roughly would it cost me to get just my
drivers side fixed?
Also, the drivers seat works for everything else. It
has the memory thing working to where it moved
the seat automatically where I keep it when I start
my car. So the seat itself isn't broken, just the
heated part of it.

Since one seat works it probably is not the fuse. It could be a bad switch or the heating element might be burned out. It also could be a bad electrical connection. Can't say how much to fix since I don't know what is wrong.
