something without all of the electronics...mine will not idle..i've been told to get one for 79 cj 7, but hard to find

You might want to try E-bay or see about some Jeep "forums/groups", there are a ton of them. The guys in the Jeep forums/groups will have the info or even someone might have the carb you are looking for. But if you can get a "carb number" you might be able to try car-parts.com. Sorry I couldn't be more help. best of luck

i would rebuild it for 20 bucks but if u are determined on buying a brand new one look into holley remanufactured of the carter bbd u could also pick up a weber that will fit

are you talking about the stepper motor if thats what your talking about you could try getting an old school carter BBD with a fast idle cam instead of stepper

my amc eagle has the same crappy carb. theres a weber setup thats a direct fit. the kit comes complete from jc witney. im thinking about getting it.
