Asked by GuruSCTRL May 26, 2019 at 05:06 PM about the 1972 Ford Pinto

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1972 Ford pinto with a 2.0, it hasn't ran in
years, I can get it to turn out and found and oil leak
that I fixed, but now when i dump coolant into it, its
leaking out of transmission (pours out), I am
wondering if there is a freeze plug or something
that is right where the tranny bolts to the block.

Wonder no more there are 2 freeze plugs on back side of motor where transmission is connected trans will have to be removed or moved back enough from motor to get to plugs.
