It depends on where you live, and what type of driving you do before anyone will give you any valid recommendations. If you live in a cold climate, or have a diesel engine, you are going to need as many CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) as you can find for the battery size your car uses. If.you do a lot of stop and go driving, where you actually turn your engine (and alternator) off, without giving your alternator the chance to fully recharge your battery (regaining the energy used by cranking the car), the CCA comes back into play. If you are planning on trading the car in within the next year, you will not get one cent more for the premium, six-year battery than you get from one that will only start the car when the appraiser gets in for his test drive.
