an all too common problem. Your van should be much easier than the newer models. Dodge seems to have opted for pushing people to an expensive dealership repair instead of just using a better product. There are several useful youtube videos on replacing the actuator and you should be able to order a new one online for like $25. Our 2012 has a non functioning sliding door lock... it is crazy what I will have to do to repair ours.
