Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Towed 2005 grand caravan from Louisiana to California by 1997 Southwind RV & tow pkg., disengaged the neg battery,

put her in neutral, of course left the key in ignition & towed away after speaking with service center at dealership @ towing front wheel drive. Replaced battery cable to start had AAA come to jump RV and had him jump caravan, within 20 seconds she was smokin... noticed oil or some fluid in the front portion of engine driver said could be master cylandar, have mechanic coming out this am to assess, any suggestions, desire to make our way up to WA...

I don't know about what happened to your GC but for future reference, for front wheel drive there are tow-bars set-ups that will tow it with the front wheels off the ground

Thankyou, yes I am aware of that fact..89 yr old .fathers vehicle, moving him north with what he had & I did check w/ dealership...which was my obvious mistake Still would love an answer to give me some ideas what the mechaNICAL PROBLEM IS....

It's just that your question is very difficult to diagnose with without being at the car. Sorry I was no help, but I do not see how it could be master cylinder, that is a brake component and the damage has something to do with the transaxle turning while towing, nothing to do with brakes. Some of those AAA drivers are quite knowledgeable, and others think they are and say something stupid to impress you and make you think he knows something, but does not
