Is my dodge dakota a SLT or a SXT?

Question type: General

I recently purchased a dodge dakota, but it was never specified if it is a SLT or a SXT?
Nothing in the manual or anything on the truck specifies. I have looked up the VIN number
and some say it is a sport model, but others say its one or the other. Is it possible that it is
just a dodge dakota? Its a 4 door with a 3.7L and v6 engine.

Hi KSWEIGERT: I had the same problem, and I tried a couple of things: First, you can do a VIN decoder search: www.dakota-truck.net/vin/ Or, next, you can call Dodge at 1-800-853-1403. The person I spoke with wasn't very knowledgeable, even with my VIN number, but I was able to request a BUILD SHEET and this was the tell-tale way of getting my answer. When I reviewed the build sheet, the list included a "KSRP FLAME RED - "SPORT" DECAL" which is how I was able to surmise that I have a Dodge Dakota "Sport".

I am looking for a manual window regulator for a 2003 dodge Dakota sxt and I cant find one anywhere. Any suggestions?
