Just put a new 350 in my '76 K10 RV cam eldabrock 1477 performer carb and intake. Problem is I feel like I'm dragging an anchor not the power I hoped for

So many people over the decades have made the mistake of thinking that putting a big carb and maybe a cam on a V8 will just work right out of the box- not usually- the carb must be matched to the cam and then head work is needed to match the fuel flow and the cam profile- then the exhaust needs to flow freely- etc. etc. maybe when I do this, I will go to Summit and just buy a matching package-

Thanks for the input kinda what I thought about the carb I know it's dumping a lot of fuel.
