1986 chevy farm truck with 350 engine doesn't like hot weather.

Asked by Guru63K7V Apr 08, 2020 at 05:54 PM about the 1986 Chevrolet C/K 10

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck runs pretty good in cool weather.  Has trouble when the weather gets
warm.  Acts like the fuel has been cut off while driving.  Loses power but
doesn't typically die.

This has been an ongoing issue. When it first started it seemed like we could clean the carburetor and it would run ok for awhile. As time went on that didn't seem to help. My mechanic thinks it's the ethanol in the fuel.
