Won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought this car & can't get it to start. What
should be the 1st thing I should do to fix it? It's
been sitting for about 6mos.

get it to crank (turn over) , check for spark , the fuel may be bad after sitting try an octane booster or purge the gas line from the schrader valve see what comes out , pour gas in the throttle if you have spark see if it fires
