My brake lights don't work ..

have you checked the fuses? bulbs? if those are good, could be stoplamp switch attached to brake pedal.

Brake switch located on the pedal will work its way loose causing the pedal when released to be unable to push the plunger for the sensor in. Two 10mm bolts hold it in place, loosen them then press the sensor bracket firmly forward confirming the brake lights go out. Tighten.
