You might check the seal around the front windshield, Mine came loose when I had my '93 Dakota.
Yeah, I had the windshield on my '92 replaced. It stopped the leakage but, after the guy replaced it, on the drive home, I heard a howling coming from the windshield. Wierdest sound! I never heard it before. I took it back and they resealed it and that took care of the leak, and the howl.
dedepitt - the best answer at this time is have the windshield resealed and then have someone run water on it and see if it still leaks. Other than that, you'll have to check the door seals and other possible grommets from the engine compartment to see what condition they are in. After that, you may have to go underneath the truck and see what's happening there. Don't know what else to tell you.
Yeah, also I park my truck facing downhill, so maybe that has something to do with it. But replacing the windshield did fix the problem. I mean, it's a 22 year old vehicle. What can you expect?
I have yet to have a problem with any leakage at all in my '02 Dakota, but since it originally came from Michigan and does have a couple of places with winter rust type damage, who knows. I have several friends watching out a for back bumper for me because the one presently on my truck is pretty eaten up but it is no hurry.
i had bad leaks at the rear cab seams above the windows. ended up putting a bead of black silicone in them to seal it up. ran it from the door opening to the rear window.
