Resetting a computer for a 2002 Mercury Sable Taurus OHV Engine Control Unit ECU 2F1A12A650RE Module 23 6C3 There are 3 ways to do it, 1- you could remove all of the ECM's fuses, there are 3 of them, 2- if you don't have a thieft deterrent radio you can just remove 1 battery cable, turn on the headlight switch for 30 seconds, turn off the headlight switch and reconnect the cable, 3- or go to your local auto parts store that has a unit to check the codes and they can clear it for you. Remember there will be a relearn cycle after the reset, so drive the vehicle as you normally would for around 20 minutes, if everything is good then the check engine will stay turned off.
