Question type: Car Customization

I know people have put a old buick v6 3.8 in a Vega, will a modern
camaro series 4 3.8L with 5 speed manual or
5 3.6L (315 hp much lighter drive train) with 6 speed manual fit,
has anyone tried this?
using the whole engine, computer, transmission and drive shaft?
These drive trains are easy to get in the junk yards.

Yes the 3.8 and 3.6 will both fit size wise. It will require A LOT of electrical work. Mechanical work not so much, motor mounts, radiator placement stuff like that.

If I remember my drag racing days some of the Vegas came stock with a 5.0 liter 305.

I would like to use the 3.6 6 speed, because its as light as the old 4 cyl engine and has over 315 HP..... But worried about the placement and want to know if anyone has experince in doing this swap, and have tips to make it easier?

I can't help you there. I've never done an engine swap with the new VVT engine. I'm sure hot rod shops out there have. I do know it will fit in thr Vega because the old V-8 did. Good luck!
