Interchangeable parts for 01 and 98 durangos

I just bought a 2001 Durango and need to change
the front diff, I have a 98 with good front diff. Can I
use the one out of 98 in 01

Don’t think it will be a direct swap. Both vehicles show the use the same sales codes for front diffs although the part numbers are different between the years. Keep in mind there are two different diffs used in 2001 and 1998, DMD and DMH. Updates were made in 2000
