Check all the battery and ground cables. Sounds like you may have a thermally sensitive connection somewhere. It is possible it is the battery. If the battery is 5 years old or older I would replace it with a new one. With engine running measure the voltage at the battery, it should be 13.8 to 14.6 volts. If lower than 13.8 have the alernator tested and check it's connections.

load test and volt test on old battery was perfect when light was off. Tested again when light was on and showed 12.88V BUT measured 30 CCA So I just replaced the battery. Brand new, Alternator is 3 months old.
