2000 neon

Asked by Mariahsxs Mar 16, 2017 at 10:41 PM about the 2000 Dodge Neon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I have a 2000 neon.  Tonight I just went and had
two different tires and rims put on the front both
driver and passenger . Now all of a sudden on my
way home when I turn the steering wheel RIGHT
I'm getting an awful sound and almost a shaky feel
to it.  What is it and how much is it going to run me
thanks a lot!!

Are the tires different sizes? Have the wheel bearings and CV joints checked.

Before I had them changed there we're 15s in the back and 14s in the front now there all 15s I wondered about wheel bearings but wouldn't I hear notice when I turn to the left as well?

It is very important to not only have the wheel and tire size on your car that was issued from the factory, they need to be the same.

I'm sorry I'm a chick so I don't know guy language? I had my nephew do it. He jacked each side up sepratly for each tire. And jacked it up in in between the front and middle of car.

Have someone check to see if the lugnuts are tight. Also have someone look to see if the tire and wheel is rubbing against the car when turning.
