why am i getting oil on my sprakplugs

went to change spark plugs and i notice oil on the boots

On your valve cover, there is the outer cover that keeps oil from running down the head, and then there are o-rings that go around the metal spark plug sleeves to keep oil out of them. You need those o-rings. They should be able to be pried out with a screwdriver and carefully driven in with a little bit of grease around the new part. Buy a valvecover gasket set and make sure it includes these. You're going to need the new valvecover gasket as well since you need to pull the cover to do this. As long as it's a typical I-4 motor, it should be pretty easy to do the job yourself but if it's one of the Duratec V6's in there, it will be a good deal more complex and probably require pulling the intake manifold.
