possible reason 1965 rambler american:
automatic, flathead 6 stall out when put it in gear

Also, I have changed out the fuel pump, carburator, plugs, points, condensor, wires,distributor, rotor, set the timing just can't figure it out

Maybe the idle speed is too slow when it drops in gear. Maybe torque converter is causing it to stall by causing too much load at once. Or a little of both.
