Check your steering system, specifically the rod ends.
TIE ROD OR BUSHINGS ON RACK
Broken tread in a front tire.
Tie rod ends, ball joints, even out of alignment, or lose lug nuts, take your pick or take it to discount tires and have them look at it. Rotate your tires and see if it goes away, but it might be time for new tires. Best get it looked at. What happens at high speed, if it's the same thing but worse, get off the freeway immediately as they don't call it death wobble for nothing.
Check your CV shafts. I had the same problem and had a broken CV shaft on the drivers side. Very much more noticible at slower speeds and when braking.
did you figure this out? we have been having a loud popping noise when turning in the driver side front wheel area...changed the cv axle cause we thought it was that but its still doing it:(
