1997 Dodge Caravan Oil pressure

Asked by HelpMe4 Oct 16, 2017 at 08:27 PM about the 1997 Dodge Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dodge turns on for a few seconds and then the oil
pressure light comes on and turns the engine off
immediately. If I wait a while (or a few days) It turns on
normally. But I am always suprised because it just seems
random and the car almost no other issues. Could it be a
bad sensor?

Your oil pressure sending unit is no good so it tells the computer there is a problem and shuts off your engine until it cools down
