Dodge Dakota sport stalling (shifting and turning)

Asked by BriRito13 Nov 27, 2018 at 12:45 PM about the 1997 Dodge Dakota

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My v6,1997 dodge dakota sport is stalling while
driving. A couple of weeks ago it would stall when I
shifted from or into park,so I replaced my IACV. It
no longer stalled out,but when I shifted, the rpms
would flutter around 400/500 and return to 700
after a few seconds. But it stayed running and
drove smooth. Now it's stalling when I turn. I've
started to drive with 1 foot on the breaks and 1 on
the gas pedal so I can pump the gas while breaking
to keep the rpms up. When I replaced the IACV I
also poured a large bottle of Lucas oil fuel injector
cleaner and treatment into my gas tank while i had
1/4 of a tank of gas.

I'll be getting some help cleaning my throttle body, but I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep my rpms up. If I let my foot off the gas at all the rpms drop really low, flutter, and it stalls
