Question type: Car Customization

I have two Dodge Intrepids.  One has a 3.5 engine and the other has a 3.3 engine.  I am using the 3.5 engine as parts for the 3.3 engine. The starters on both cars look different.  Can I put the starter from the 3.5 into the 3.3 and have the car starting and running well ?

Thanks
Valerie

yes it can, if the housing for the 3.3 is a little different from the 3.5 just change the guts from one starter to another, I did that with mine, I bought a stater from the junk yard of what I thought was a 97, 3.5 engine, but when I got home the housing just did not fit right, so I just took the guts out of it and put it into the other and it worked fine.
