When I am driving my car cut's out on me.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving down the road the other day, my car started cuttin out on me. It acts like it is not getting enough gas. It will jerk heavily. A friend told me that her car (same make and model) did that she took it to AutoZone and they ran a diagnostic test on it. The code that came up was 147. Could mine be doing the same. She also was told that the gas was to lean. Have no idea what that means. Could you give me something to go on here?? Thanks!!

Here is a link to a forum for a different car but with the same problems. I think it has to do with your alternator. Both of your questions are related; the speed odometer going crazy and your car cutting out on you. http://www.epinions.com/msg/show_~threads/cat_id_~3/id_~7028/forum_id_~124
