My car keeps dieing out while driving.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While I am driving, my car will cut out. I will lose steering, breaks, and
obviously the gas power. The lights, and radio, etc stay on. Last night when it
happened I had my kids in the car and after I pumped the gas pedal a few
times it started to go again. Please help.

Hard to say without much to go on ... My first guess is the fuel pump based on you pumping the gas ,,, if it were electrical then pumping the gas pedal wouldn't do anything

you may have a loose ground wire by where the electrical fuse box is or inside the tank where the fuel pump is so when you hit a bump its loose enough to lose contact then come back into contact which causes the fuse to blow same thing with the wire you will have to narrow it down and check for it
